The proportion of elderly people has been rising in developed countries and many have faced the diagnosis of cancer. Continuous advances in cancer screening, diagnosis and treatment, and increased prevalence of several cancers with older age, has resulted in a parallel increase in the population of elderly long-term cancer survivors.
