ED can negatively affect health and quality of life in men with chronic kidney disease or end-stage renal disease, and those on hemodialysis. Moreover, pre-existing or de novo ED is a frequent comorbidity after kidney transplantation, with age, time on dialysis, severity of peripheral arterial disease, and multiple transplantations representing independent risk factors for the development of organic ED.1, 2
