Ubiquitylated proteins

Ubiquitylated proteins are proteins that have been post-translationally modified with one or more ubiquitin molecule, usually in a poly-ubiquitin chain on the substrate lysine residues. Ubiquitylation can target proteins for degradation via the proteasome, alter the subcellular localization of a protein or modulate protein–protein interactions.
