Cholecystitis

Cholecystitis is inflammation of the gall bladder and is primarily caused by impaired bile flow due to the presence of gallstones in the biliary tract. Inflammation follows damage to the gall bladder wall, which can occur as a result of bile accumulation, pressure build up and infection.
