- Creator:
- Centre for Advanced Spatial Analysis, UCL
- Decription:
- The work from from the Centre for Advanced Spatial Analysis has focused on representing cities and urban geography in Second Life. Based around a series of prototypes, it explores importing geographic information from professional packages into the virtual environment for purposes of outreach and public understanding of geo-science. The work ranges from 'Step Inside Urban Spheres' to 'Real-time Weather Data' with the areas acting as a 'sandbox' for experimentation. A number of new visualisations are planned in the near future.

A Passing MomentART MEETS SCIENCE: an exhibition combining the creative imagination and the tools of science.
In this unique exhibition of high tech laser scans, strangely beautiful, ghostly images of the human form were created during an extraordinary evening, as well as highly detailed architectural images of the space where this event took place. The results are presented in the Sky Gallery above Second Nature.
