Before I started blogging on Green Science, I was an avid blogger on my Biology class blog, Extreme Biology, maintained by my former biology teacher, Ms. Stacy Baker. As a blogger, I found the conference to be very interesting, for I learned valuable blogging techniques from experienced bloggers. By interviewing a plethora of people, I became more familiar with the blogging world, which definitely helped me with writing posts for Green Science. I learned that it is very important to captivate your audience and not make your blog posts boring and long.
Since ScienceOnline was a blast last year, I was eager to participate in it again. I can't believe a whole year has flashed before my eyes, and this Thursday the 19th, I will be on the plane heading to North Carolina. Once, again, I will be hosting a presentation, this time called The Next Generation of Bloggers, with two of my fellow classmates and bloggers from Scitable, Sabrina DeRiso and Naseem Syed. Since we all have been blogging for a year already, we decided that we would dedicate this session to talking about our experience so far on the network, mention our goals for the New Year, and explain the high school and middle school blogging conference we hope to organize.
I can't wait for another great conference. Wish me luck! For more information involving ScienceOnline2012 visit this link. Also, for an article mentioning me and Green Science from last year's conference, visit this link.
