Commercial reprints are an excellent way for companies to promote and inform the medical community about their activities and products. They are recognized as a credible and timely source of information, and the Nature Publishing Group portfolio contains some of the most highly cited and influential journals in the world.
Nature Publishing Group commercial reprints are produced to the highest standards of quality, with specially designed covers and customization options including an advertising or promotional message, extra information or a company logo. Commercial reprints are available in multiples of 100 copies. They are typically supplied within 10-15 working days, or more rapidly on payment of a surcharge. Types of commercial reprint
Standard commercial reprints
Standard commercial reprints are an exact replica of the published article. All Nature Publishing Group commercial reprints are supplied with a cover as standard, and printed double-sided on premium glossy paper. Reprints are saddle stitched. Customers may purchase standard reprints in black and white or in colour, and may choose to have their reprints shrink-wrapped for a small additional cost.
Custom commercial reprints
Custom commercial reprints are available with the same finishing options as are offered for standard commercial reprints. The following options are also available at extra cost:
- Addition of disclaimer text
- Addition of product information
- Addition of a company name and/or logo
- Addition of the journal's issue cover to the reprint cover
Express commercial reprints
Nature Publishing Group offers an express service for customers who wish to have their reprints delivered within 3-7 working days of placing their order. This service carries a surcharge. Please contact reprints@nature.com for further information.
Translated commercial reprints
Articles from any Nature Publishing Group journal can be translated into any language and produced as translated commercial reprints. This service is offered by Nature Publishing Group's sister company, Macmillan Medical Communications. Please visit the Macmillan Medical Communications website for further information.
E-prints
An e-print is an encrypted PDF of a paper that can be hosted on a web site for download by multiple users. E-prints are sold on the basis of a certain number of downloads, and the purchaser is automatically alerted once this number has been reached. E-prints may also be print-enabled, allowing users to print the PDF, or e-mailable, allowing the purchaser to use the PDF in an e-mail alert. E-prints are available for all NPG journals. Most commercial reprints can be ordered online through the Rightslink® service. To use this system, locate the article that you wish to order by using the advanced search.
Ordering commercial reprints online
If the abstract or the article contains an 'Order Commercial Reprints' link in the top right-hand corner, you may be able to purchase online using the Rightslink® service. By clicking on this link you will be able to calculate a 'quick price' for your order based on the number of pages in the reprint and the desired quantity.
To place an order through the Rightslink® service you will be required to create an account by filling out a simple online form. Most customers can then order and make payment - by credit card or invoice - through the Rightslink® service. More complex orders may need the assistance of a Nature Publishing Group regional sales representative.
