Advances in teleangiography

The heavy use of diagnostic imaging technology in cardiovascular medicine generates a strong demand for effective data-handling solutions. In particular, there is need for an efficient means of transferring information and images between referring and consulting physicians. An Internet-based software package called eMedcon™ (Medcon Telemedicine Technology, Inc., Whippany, NJ, US) has been developed to address this demand; a recent paper by Satler et al. describes the evaluation of this system.
