Mars gets new icing
Red planet's poles are mostly frozen water, not carbon dioxide.
Mars' polar ice caps are mostly frozen water, say researchers in California. Their calculations help to resolve a long-standing debate about whether or not the red planet's poles are coated with frozen carbon dioxide.
