Mathematicians find path less travelled
Simulation of Grand Canyon rafting helps manage overcrowding in the wild.
Adventurers looking for the white-water wilderness experience might benefit from a dry run on a computer, says mathematician Catherine Roberts of the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts.
Roberts has developed the Grand Canyon River Trip Simulator (GCRTSim).
