Fungus and plant stand heat together
Symbiotic relationship helps grass grow round hot springs.
Researchers have found a fungus and plant that can thrive at more than 50 °C, but only if they work together1. The two grow symbiotically around hot springs in the Lassen Volcanic and Yellowstone National Parks.
