The DRASIC cation channel contributes to the detection of cutaneous touch and acid stimuli in mice
Pore removal makes mice touchy but not feely.
Super-sensitiveto stroking but impervious to pinch: US researchers have manufactured mice with shifted senses. A touch receptor identified in the skin could be the target for future drugs to ease pain or heighten pleasure.
