Biologists fight back
Researchers debate their role in bioterrorism.
US scientists should get into politics to thwart bioterrorism, biodefence experts told a special session of the American Society for Cell Biology's annual meeting in Washington DC on 9 December.
"You have got to get engaged to work out how to govern the dark side of science," said Tara O'Toole, director of the Center for Civilian Biodefense at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland.
