True stem cell found?
Researchers have tracked down a multi-talented adult stem cell.
US researchers claim to have tracked down the 'true' stem cell in adult bone marrow -- one that has regenerative powers greater than any previously found. These multi-talented stem cells can sprout lung, skin, stomach and intestine cells in mice, they report1.
