Misfolded α-synuclein amyloid fibrils are a hallmark of Parkinson's disease. Solid state NMR analysis by Rienstra and colleagues reveals that human α-synuclein pathogenic fibrils adopt a Greek-key structure similar to the repeated pattern in the mosaic, and provides a framework for understanding fibril nucleation and propagation.
