Competing to destroy: a fight between two RNA-degradation systems
Abstract
In the field of heterochromatic gene silencing new factors are popping up at a good pace. In fission yeast RNA polymerases and degrading enzymes join the usual histone-modifying enzymes and sense and antisense transcripts are produced and degraded according to complex cell-cycle events.
