Abstract
D'Amico AV and Roehrborn CG (2007) Effect of 1 mg/day finasteride on concentrations of serum prostate-specific antigen in men with androgenic alopecia: a randomised controlled trial. Lancet Oncol 8: 21–25 Finasteride, a type 2 5α-reductase inhibitor, is used to treat benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) at 5 mg daily, and male-pattern alopecia at 1 mg daily.
