Abstract
D'Amico AV et al. (2005) Pretreatment PSA velocity and risk of death from prostate cancer following external beam radiation therapy. JAMA 294: 440–447 Synopsis Background As the number of men diagnosed with prostate cancer who have a PSA level of <10 ng/ml continues to grow, the clinical usefulness of any one PSA measurement is declining; however, it is becoming increasingly apparent that important prognostic information can be gleaned from serial PSA readings.
