J Clin Endocrinol Metab 92: 2567–2573 Synopsis Background Glucocorticoid therapy is associated with decreased growth; however, studies have shown that growth hormone (GH) treatment can restore growth in children with juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA) after serious glucocorticoid-induced growth effects have developed.
