Homocysteine lowering does not improve survival in advanced CKD or ESRD

JAMA 298: 1163–1170 High plasma homocysteine levels have been associated with an increased risk for cardiovascular disease, but randomized trials of homocysteine-lowering therapies have reported conflicting results.
