About the authors

Glenn Yiu

Glenn Yiu is currently an M.D.–Ph.D. candidate in Zhigang He's laboratory at the Children's Hospital Boston, Harvard Medical School, Massachusetts, USA. He attended Columbia University, New York, USA, where he majored in biochemistry and psychology. During that time, he worked with Paul Greengard from Rockefeller University, New York, studying synapsin function, and with Rafael Yuste from Columbia University, developing a deconvolution technique for two-photon imaging. He joined Harvard Medical School in 2000, where he has worked with Zhigang He to study the signalling mechanisms that limit axon regeneration in the adult CNS.

Zhigang He

Zhigang He is currently an associate professor at the Program in Neurobiology, the Children's Hospital Boston, Harvard Medical School, Massachusetts, USA. His laboratory studies the cellular and molecular mechanisms of axon regeneration.
