Abstract
Germs guard against asthma? The stomach bacterium Helicobacter pylori could decrease the risk of asthma development in children by up to 50%, say researchers from the New York University Langone Medical Center, United States. Because of cleaner living conditions and better personal hygiene, H. pylori has been rapidly disappearing from our stomachs over recent decades.
