Abstract
Deaths from C. difficile on the rise Figures released by the Office for National Statistics, United Kingdom, show that the number of reported deaths caused by Clostridium difficile in England and Wales rose by 28% between 2006 and 2007. This is despite the fact that the number of reported cases of infection fell over the same period.
