Large intestine: Remission of lymphocytic colitis with budesonide

Lymphocytic colitis and collagenous colitis are the two subtypes of microscopic colitis—characterized by chronic or recurrent, non-bloody, watery diarrhea, normal colonoscopy findings and characteristic histopathological findings in biopsy samples of the colonic mucosa. Lymphocytic colitis and collagenous colitis are clinically indistinguishable but can be separated by histological assessment.
