Abstract
Gene expression Concurrent fast and slow cycling of a transcriptional activator at an endogenous promoter. Karpova, T. S. et al. Science 319, 466–469 (2008) The reversible association of transcriptional activators to promoters can be either slow or fast; however, because the fast mode has only been reported for artificial promoters, the relative contribution of the two cycling modes, and whether fast cycling occurs at all, was unclear.
