Ageing: A SIRTain role in ageing

Elizabeth Neame

Although DNA damage is known to contribute to age-related changes in mammals, the molecular basis of this connection is poorly understood. A study in mice now reveals that the relocalization of a chromatin-modifying protein in response to DNA damage contributes to age-related changed in gene expression.
