Abstract
The ability to distinguish between benign and malignant adrenocortical tumors requires great expertise; as a consequence, improvements in the early diagnosis, risk stratification and selection of effective therapies are urgently needed. Over the past decade, high-throughput techniques have emerged as powerful tools for the molecular and functional characterization of cancer cells.
