Abstract
NICE responds to report on the value of innovation The UK's National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) has published its response to the independent report 'Appraising the Value of Innovation'. The lowdown: The report was commissioned by NICE in January 2009 in response to Sir David Cooksey's 2006 review of UK health research funding, which raised concerns that the UK's National Health Service (NHS) tends to be cautious about, rather than supportive of, innovation.
