Do molecularly targeted agents in oncology have reduced attrition rates?

Attrition rates are a critical issue in drug development, especially within oncology, in which rates have been reported to be relatively high. Indeed, some figures suggest that clinical attrition rates are as much as fourfold higher in oncology than in other indications.
