Anticancer drugs: Antisense angiogenesis inhibition
Abstract
A key transcription factor involved in tumour angiogenesis — inhibitor of DNA binding 1 (ID1) — has been successfully targeted by using a peptide-conjugated antisense oligonucleotide (PCAO). Dysregulation of transcription factors is often seen in cancer.
