Medical Oncology: IROX as second-line therapy for metastatic colorectal cancer
Abstract
When irinotecan and oxaliplatin became available in the late 1990s, they were initially used as second-line treatment after fluoropyrimidine failure in patients with advanced colorectal cancer. Today, the majority of patients are treated with the doublets upfront (for example, FOLFOX or FOLFIRI).
