Hiroshi Ito

Hiroshi Ito is the Chief Director of Cardiology, Sakurabashi Watanabe Hospital, Osaka, Japan, which is high volume, specialist center. Previously he has worked at the Osaka University School of Medicine, the Osaka University Graduate School of Medicine, and the Division of Cardiology, Sakurabashi Watanabe Hospital. His research focuses on the study of the pathology of coronary microcirculation and the mechanisms of ischemic myocardial damage. He is currently part of a team investigating new reperfusion strategies aimed at improving myocardial blood flow and myocardial contrast echocardiography as a method to investigate temporal changes in myocardial perfusion.
