Abstract
Researchers in Germany have shown that an ultrafast electron beam can be used to probe the dynamics of laser-generated plasmas with picosecond resolution.
The field of atomic and molecular physics shares many features with plasma physics. Both deal with electrons and ions, as well as electric and magnetic fields.
