Nanomedicine: AFM tackles osteoarthritis

Osteoarthritis is a debilitating joint disease prevalent among the elderly, but it is also becoming more common among younger people. Damage starts at the molecular scale and progressively spreads to the higher structural architecture of the articular cartilage that cushions the joints.
