Abstract
The ability to generate induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) from somatic cells by the expression of defined transcription factors has revolutionized stem cell research. In this issue of Nature Methods, Yusa and colleagues describe a new method to generate such iPSCs using transposon-based vectors that can be subsequently removed from the host genome.
