Expanding the toolbox for remote control of neuronal circuits
Abstract
How does our brain operate? The limited answer to this question relies on our advanced understanding of the molecular and cellular mechanisms that underlie the operation of neuronal circuits and on introspection and behavioral experiments that tell us what our brain is doing. With a few exceptions, the causal relationships between the mechanistic molecular/cellular events and behavioral observations remain elusive.
