Abstract
Noninvasive, straightforward methods to inactivate selected proteins in living cells with high spatiotemporal resolution are needed. Chromophore-assisted laser inactivation (CALI) can be used to photochemically inactivate proteins, but it has several drawbacks, such as procedural complexity and nonspecific photodamage.
