Abstract
Enormous opportunities are available for the development of new functional materials from nanoparticles such as gold nanocrystals, quantum dots and carbon nanotubes. It would be particularly advantageous if these nanoscale components could be organized into structures through self-assembly processes without the need for expensive fabrication equipment.
