Muscling in on rhabdomyosarcoma

A poorly understood cancer of childhood has just become less mysterious. A new animal model identifies three pathways that underlie the progression to rhabdomyosarcoma (pages 1276–1280).


Concerted efforts over the past two decades have led to an understanding of the genetic underpinnings of many human cancers. Left largely behind in this effort have been rare tumors with poorly understood heredity.
