Abstract
CD4+CD25+ regulatory T cells (T-reg) exhibit potent regulatory functions in vitro and in vivo. These cells play a central role in maintaining peripheral tolerance and controlling organ-specific autoimmunity by suppressing pathogenic autoreactive T cells.
