Abstract
Myelin and motherhood Pregnancy boosts the production of myelin-producing cells in the central nervous system of mice, according to a report in the Journal of Neuroscience (27, 1812–1823). The findings may explain why the demyelinating disease multiple sclerosis often undergoes remission during pregnancy.
