Identifying the killer in cystic fibrosis

John E. Hearst & Karen E. Elliott

Department of Chemistry University of California, Berkeley Berkeley, California 94720, USA.

Understanding the genetic defects underlying cystic fibrosis is only half the battle. Identifying the specific bacterium infecting CF patients is just as important (pages 661−666).
