Multiple sclerosis: TNF revisited, with promise

Cedric S. Raine1

1Departments of Pathology (Neuropathology), Neurology and Neuroscience, and the Rose F. Kennedy, Center for Research in Mental Retardation and Human Development, Albert Einstein, College of Medicine, Bronx, New York 10461, USA

The antidepressant drug rolipram inhibits tumor necrosis factor-alpha. This may make it an effective treatment for multiple sclerosis (pages 244−248).
