BTG's Ageing & Neuroscience team focuses on therapeutic areas with high commercial potential - new treatments for chronic pain conditions, for neurodegenerative diseases, and for cardiovascular risk factor diseases such as hypertension, atherosclerosis, diabetes and obesity. The primary focus within the neurodegenerative diseases market is Alzheimer's Disease. Additionally, Multiple Sclerosis is increasingly recognised as a progressive neurodegenerative condition and is currently being targeted by BTG.
