Immunology in China: the past, present and future
Abstract
As an important frontier discipline of the life sciences and medicine, immunology contributes greatly to the understanding of health and disease and is helpful in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of human disease. As Chinese civilization is one of the oldest in the world, China has a long history of immunological research, with Chinese immunologists having made notable achievements in several areas of this field.
