Revival of the autoantibody model in rheumatoid arthritis

New evidence revives the old idea that B cells are the principal effectors in rheumatoid arthritis: autoantibodies against a ubiquitous antigen cause joint-specific disease. The resolution of these conflicting hypotheses resides in the joint itself. " (On-Ko-Chi-Shin) the new idea resides within the old."
