Spotlight on IL-22-producing NK cell receptor|[ndash]|expressing mucosal lymphocytes

The mucosal immune system protects the host from infection and serves to maintain tissue homeostasis. In the gut, this system is composed of several types of organized lymphoid structures, including mesenteric lymph nodes, Peyer's patches, cryptopatches and isolated lymphoid follicles.
