The field of cell migration, which eventually expanded to include chemokine research, is over three decades old. To help out the newcomers to the field, as well as provide a resource for aficionados, we have compiled a list of useful references in the chemokine field. The editors are indebted to the authors of our Review articles, as well as to Marco Baggiolini and Antonio Lanzavecchia, for their guidance in selecting some of the papers that have shaped the field over the years. Clicking on a link will take you to the PubMed citation or directly to the paper, if it is a Nature family publication.
