Tumors line up for a letdown
Abstract
The usurpation of highly conserved developmental pathways is a common occurrence in human malignancies. Often, our fundamental understanding of these pathways comes well before an appreciation that they contribute to disease and is frequently gained from genetic studies in model organisms such as worms and flies.
