Casting an eye on the Krebs cycle
Abstract
The tricarboxylic acid cycle, also known as the Krebs cycle, has long been considered so crucial for life that no substantial, primary defect in any of its enzyme components could be compatible with survival. On page 1230 of this issue, a study by Dyonne Hartong and colleagues challenges this dogma.
